Intersure Group want to help you maintain your privacy on the Interne as such Intersure Group has  adopted a Privacy Policy as part of the business and operations of the company. Intersure Group is committed to protecting the personal information of any individual or juristic person and will always ensure that personal information is processed fairly, lawfully and correctly, and within the scope of applicable regulations. Intersure Group has formulated this Privacy Policy to explain how Intersure Group collects Data and for what purposes.

Intersure Group will obtain your consent to collect and process Personal Information when using our services on the website or verbally when speaking to one of our consultants as set out below:

Information collected by Intersure Group is stored in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public.

If a User does not wish to submit any personal identifying information, the User should not submit any information within submission form fields on Intersure Group’s website.

Intersure Group does not have any motive or intention to gather contact Data of visitors who are under the age of 13 and would prefer that parental Data be supplied instead on behalf of a child under the age of 13.

All precautionary measures have been implemented to ensure that Personal Information is kept save throughout this process.

How is your Personal Information Recorded & Stored by Intersure Group

Personal Information captured by Intersure Group is stored in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public in any form. Intersure Group stores personal information on devices owned by Intersure Group, insurers systems, voice recording systems, financial systems, secure on site and cloud based servers as well as hard copy storage facilities that comply with POPI security requirements.

Sharing personal information

In order for Intersure Group to fulfil our commitment, due diligence and responsibilities to you, fromtime to time it will be required to share your personal information with a third party which will only be done upon receiving your consent to do so with a representative of Intersure Group of via our terms and conditions on the Intersure Group’s website. Intersure Group will also request your consent to share your Personal Information with our affiliates to ensure that you have access to the newest products on the market as well as additional risk coverage options that may suite your specific needs.

Intersure Group will endeavour to keep our database with your personal information as up to date as possible, we may, in future, request to update your information through our secure portal or through our personnel. Please note that in order to better protect you and safeguard your Personal Information, we take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your account or making any corrections to your Personal Information.

No Selling

Intersure Group will never sell Personal Information to other organizations or entities. Personal Information will not be disclosed in any other way except as detailed in this Privacy Policy.

Marketing Consent

You will have the option to “Opt Out” from receiving any marketing material from Intersure Group and/or its affiliates. If you choose to “Opt-Out” you will, however, still receive important communication and other information from us regarding any administration requirements on your insurance portfolio as well as improvements on products and services. Updates on new products or services we offer will therefore not be communicated to you anymore, which could have a harmful  effect on your risk portfolio.

What Personal Information Will Intersure Group collect

Personal Information Intersure Group collects and stores, including but not limited to:

Onsite  servers as well as cloud hosted servers by 3rd party suppliers are in an secure environment with security measure, appropriate firewalls and other advanced data protection measures in place to prevent interference from outside intruders.

Data Storage outside South Africa

Intersure Group will not share any personal information across a country border without your prior written consent. Personal information may be stored on cloud based servers located outside the country in which it was collected. You consent to us processing your personal information in a foreign country whose laws regarding processing of personal information may be less stringent. In the event your information is shared with 3rd party providers outside of South Africa, Intersure Group will ensure the integrity of your data and ensure it is not disclosed to anyone else e3xcept for who it is intended.  

Incidents of Security Breach and Data Integrity Loss.
In the unlikely event that your information was obtained unlawfully, Intersure Group endeavours to notify you immediately of such an event and steps will be put in place to ensure the damage in the event is handled with urgency to minimize the loss.
